Course Schedules: FOUNDATION COURSE ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH NURSING PRACTICE IN THE PHILIPPINES


The Society's FOUNDATION COURSE ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH NURSING PRACTICE IN THE PHILIPPINES (Course Code: RHN1) is a 4-hour introductory course on human sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, the RH Law, and the role of nurses in sexual & reproductive health. RHN1 is a qualifying course for all interested nurses to become Level I members of the Society. All members of the Society are expected to graduate from this introductory course.

PSORHN is the new partner of Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan of DOH

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Health through the National Center for Health Promotion in partnership with the Probe Media Foundation are preparing the next tour of the Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan or LBK with the theme "Kalusugan Pangkalahatan on Wheels". LBK was launched in 2011 and went to ten (10) key areas in the country.

Manila, Philippines - The Philippine Society of Sexual & Reproductive Health Nurses will launch the newly-formed specialty society of nurses focusing on providing sexual & reproductive health in the Philippines through the pioneering batch of the Basic Orientation on Reproductive Health Nursing Course (BORHN).

PSORHN Nurses to join DOH Budget Deliberations

Manila, Philippines - As a result of the passage of the Sin Tax Law, the share of health in the proposed 2014 national budget increased by 45.5%. Part of the continuing budget work of advocates is to look at where the resources will be spent on.
The Health Cluster of Alternative Budget Initiative together with different civil society organizations will be present to the Department of Health presentation of its proposed budget for the FY 2014, 13 August 2013, 9:00am-12:00nn at the Duque Hall, Department of Health Central Office, Tayuman, Sta. Cruz Manila.

The Philippine Society of Sexual & Reproductive Health Nurses (PSORHN) is one of the organizations who shall be sitting in the budget deliberations. We are hoping that there will be an increase in the investment in health human resources especially to the nurses in public health.
