Manila, Philippines - As a result of the passage of the Sin Tax Law, the share of health in the proposed 2014 national budget increased by 45.5%. Part of the continuing budget work of advocates is to look at where the resources will be spent on.
The Health Cluster of Alternative Budget Initiative together with different civil society organizations will be present to the Department of Health presentation of its proposed budget for the FY 2014, 13 August 2013, 9:00am-12:00nn at the Duque Hall, Department of Health Central Office, Tayuman, Sta. Cruz Manila.
The Philippine Society of Sexual & Reproductive Health Nurses (PSORHN) is one of the organizations who shall be sitting in the budget deliberations. We are hoping that there will be an increase in the investment in health human resources especially to the nurses in public health.
