PSORHN's first public appearance at the World Population Day

Manila, Philippines - The Philippine Society of Reproductive Health Nurses was invited by the Philippine Commission on Population to join in this year's celebration of the World Population Day this July 11, 2013.

This year the World Population Day will focus on the growing concern relating to teen pregnancies in the Philippines.

One of PSORHN's main areas that it will focus is on adolescent sexuality and reproductive health especially on preventing and reducing teen pregnancies and HIV infection among young people.

PSORHN aims to train and educate its pool of RH nurse advocates for them to become "youth-friendly" and competent health service providers in both public and private settings.

PSORHN assures that it will work together with the Commission on Population, the Philippine Department of Health and other stakeholders toward achieving better health outcomes for sexual & reproductive health in the country.

PSORHN is a non-profit, professional nursing organization dedicated to advance and professionalize the specialty practice of sexual & reproductive health nursing in the Philippines.
