MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Society of Sexual & Reproductive Health Nurses supports the conduct of the 1st National Convention of the Philippine Society for Responsible Parenthood Inc. the multi-disciplinary organization formed by family planning and reproductive health practitioners. The PSRP was formed in 2011 and was widely supported by individual professionals and organizations. The 1st Annual Convention will be this coming October 18, 2013 at the Manila Diamond Hotel.

PSORHN is the new partner of Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan of DOH
MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Health through the National Center for Health Promotion in partnership with the Probe Media Foundation are preparing the next tour of the Lakbay Buhay Kalusugan or LBK with the theme "Kalusugan Pangkalahatan on Wheels". LBK was launched in 2011 and went to ten (10) key areas in the country.

Around the world, the rate of teen pregnancy is on the rise.
In the ASEAN region, the Philippines has the third highest teen
pregnancy rate and it is only in the Philippines where the rate in teen
pregnancy has increased. If the future of a country lies in the hands of
its young people, what are the long term implications of the issue of
teen pregnancy? What are the implications to health and lives of young
mothers? Is there really cause for alarm?

PSORHN's first public appearance at the World Population Day
Manila, Philippines - The Philippine Society of Reproductive Health Nurses was invited by the Philippine Commission on Population to join in this year's celebration of the World Population Day this July 11, 2013.
This year the World Population Day will focus on the growing concern relating to teen pregnancies in the Philippines.
